Giddy Up and Grab Blinged Out Western and Southwest Looks from Woke Creations

You can’t keep a good trend down. Blinged out Western and Southwest looks in fashion ready-to- wear have experienced resurgences multiple times over however, not since the 1980’s has it been trending so strongly. Back then, John Travolta and Debra Winger’s movie Urban Cowboy influenced fashionistas to hit the stores for fringed everything, cowboy boots and low-slung denim wear. I even remember wearing a denim chambray dress, denim spiked heels with a silver tip at the toe. The trend popped up again in early 2000 when Madonna catapulted blinged out Western and Southwest looks into the spotlight with her “Don’t Tell Me” music video. Fast forward to today and you’ll find that the red carpet is no stranger to seeing rappers and or music personalities embrace wearing highly embellished 'Nudie' suits and other blinged out gear to events like the Country Music Awards (CMA’s), in music videos by artists like Beyonce, Little Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion and Post Malone who continue to influence Western and Southwest fashion.
